- Airbus Failure Management (ECAM)
The Airbus aircraft is unique in how failures are handled. In this lesson we will look at the crucial aspect of handling failures through the Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) system. We will cover: - ECAM Information processing - ECAM display layout and symbology - Failure classification (types and levels) - Inhibited Phases - QRH C/L and OEBs - Computer Resets - Use of Summaries - Examples of various failures This lesson is specially designed to give the pilot the best foundation for a type rating.
- Airbus MEL/MMEL
This lesson will teach you how to apply the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) for the aircraft. We will look at definitions, layout of the MEL as well as work through examples on how to make GO/NO-GO decisions for practical flying.
- Essential Study Skills
This course will teach you how to study to obtain maximum retention and understanding. Understanding limitations to ones mental capability and know how to stretch that capability is a key part of this course.
- A320 Ice & Rain Protection
This presentation on the A320 Ice & Rain protection system will outline the architecture of the system and its functionality. We will cover: - Overview and architecture - Normal Operation - Indications & Monitoring - Abnormal Operation The lesson will comprise most elements of the system but will not cover all information. This lesson will refer to and should complement the latest QRH and FCOM manuals for the aircraft.
- AGK - Powerplant
This session will take you through the subject matter of the EASA ATPL syllabus in preparation for the ATPL theory exam. Delivered on the bases of the Airline Transport Pilot: Complete Note Collection book, this session will revise and explain all the major points and ensure you are left with a much better and more comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding. In this lesson we will cover: Piston Engine Power plant: - Definitions - Engine Layouts and construction - The Otto Cycle - Fuels and Combustion - Lubricating system - Cooling system - Ignition system - Induction system - Propeller Gas Turbine Power plant: - Definitions - Engine Layouts and construction - Intake - Compressor - Combustion - Turbines & Blades - Lubricating sytem - Engine Reversers - Engine Control Units (ECU)

Delivered on the bases of the Airline Transport Pilot: Complete Note Collection book, this session will revise and explain all the major points and ensure you are left with a much better and more comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding. In this lesson we will cover: - VFR Communication - IFR Communication
- Mass & Balance
This session will take you through the subject matter of the EASA ATPL syllabus in preparation for the ATPL theory exam. Delivered on the bases of the Airline Transport Pilot: Complete Note Collection book, this session will revise and explain all the major points and ensure you are left with a much better and more comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding. In this lesson we will cover: - Mass Definitions - Unit Conversion - Standard Mass Values - Traffic Load Calculations - Weight Shift Formula - Mean Aerodynamic Chord (MAC) - Floor Loading
- Exam Booking
Once you have completed all the learning within a course you are eligible to sit your final exam. For ATPL students this will be Mock exams and for type rating students this will be final system and performance exams. The booking will include the final exam, supervised online by a qualified instructor. A thorough exam debrief will be scheduled separately by the instructor the same day. NOTE. To comply with regulations, this exam requires the student to engage continuously with live video. and audio via Zoom (link will be provided).
- A320 Performance (Day 2)
This lesson is 2 of 3 designed to teach the A320 pilot the performance aspect of operating the aircraft. The performance course is divided into 3 days. On day 2 the following will be covered: - Fuel Planing using; Computerised Flight Plan, MCDU, FCOM and EFB - Cruise Optimisation (Cost Index, Maximum FL, REC MAX ALT and Step Climbing) - Landing Distances; LDA, RLD, ALD, IFLD - Approach & Landing - Dispatch Calculations (RLD using FCOM and EFB) - Approach & Landing - In-flight Calculations (FLD using QRH and EFB) The course is designed to teach the performance with the use of manual tables and charts from the FCOM, QRH as well as using the EFB. While paper charts is often not used by airlines, this approach teaches the theory of the performance much better than simply using the electronic EFB. It is therefore of greater benefit to the pilot.
- Airbus Procedures, C/L and Flows
This lesson covers some very important parts of procedure training. Prior to commencing the simulator training, pilots should understand the concept of the procedures and their unique design as well as standard phraseology and task sharing rules. This lesson covers how procedures are designed, how they are to be used, when they are used and most importantly who is to implement them. Good procedure training is the key for good CRM in the cockpit. We will in this lesson cover: - Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) - System Related Procedures (SRP) - Supplementary Procedures (SUP) - Special Procedure Operations (SPO) - Abnormal & Emergency Procedures (ABN) - Memory Items (MEM) - Standard Callout - Task Sharing rules
- Learning 'How To Learn'
This course teaches you the fundamentals of learning that you were never taught in school. That's right! Instead of focussing on a specific subjects, cramming in knowledge and repeating it until it becomes rote memory (meaning when one can repeat information without firm understanding of the subject), we will in this course focus on simple practices that build a solid foundation for learning. With these simple steps in place you will be able to apply it to anything you wish to learn, whether that is learning aviation theory, taking piano lessons or mastering cooking. We will focus on - Reading Techniques - Quality sleep - Nutrition - Exercise - Mindfulness
